Dengue Precautions: 

• Apply insect repellent to exposed skin, particularly during peak mosquito activity hours.
• Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants to minimize skin exposure.
• Utilize air conditioning and ensure that window and door screens are intact.
• Use mosquito nets in sleeping areas that lack screens for added protection.
• Eliminate standing water in containers like buckets, tires, and flowerpots to reduce mosquito breeding sites.

Treatment for Dengue Fever 

• There is no specific medication for dengue infection; pain relievers like acetaminophen (Tylenol) are recommended.
• Avoid NSAIDs such as aspirin and ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) as they may increase bleeding risks.
• Ensure adequate rest and hydration to prevent dehydration.
• If symptoms are severe or do not improve, consult your doctor for further evaluation.
• Hospital treatment may be necessary in certain cases.
